General
- By completing and submitting this registration form, you signify your agreement to accept and abide by the Terms and Conditions as stated by the Organiser, Autism Resource Centre (Singapore).
- All monetary donations raised from this event will be directed to the Organiser.
- These will include any funds raised by participants who do not take part in the event on the dates stipulated.
- You are encouraged to post the challenge you have embarked on social media and invite friends to donate to your endeavour. However, the Organiser reserves the right to remove your registration profile and social media posts contributed by you should the content be deemed inappropriate. A notice will be given to you.
- By providing your personal data though the registration link, it is deemed that you have given consent to the Organiser to collect, use and disclose and/or process the personal data for the purpose of this event and to use the personal data, photographs, videos, or any other media records collected for this event for future informational and outreach purposes related to the Organiser.
- The participant takes note of and undertakes to adhere to all Government regulations with respect to COVID-19 Safe Management Measures. The Organiser will not be responsible for any actions taken against the participant for contravening the announced measures.
- The Organiser reserves the right to modify and/or substitute any of these rules and regulations without prior notice.
- By submitting your application via this registration link, you agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions and by the decisions of the Organiser, which shall be final as to all campaign related matters.
Event Safety Advisory
- All participants are responsible for their own safety and physical condition and should seek professional medical clearance before registering and participating in the event.
- Participants acknowledge that A Very Special Walk is not a competitive race.
- Medical and water points will be set up along the route. Participants are encouraged to walk at a pace they are comfortable with.
- Participants who are unwell or injured should inform the officials at the next nearest station and seek medical attention. If the participant is midway between stations and is unable to continue, he/she should seek help from other participants to inform the officials.
- Participants of the online challenge acknowledge that they will participate and complete their challenge in a manner chosen by them, at locations chosen by them and at their own risk.
- Participants of the online challenge acknowledge that the Organiser will not provide volunteers, marshals, or medical personnel assistance to any participant.
- All participants acknowledge to have obtained their own insurance coverage for their participation in the event.
Indemnity Form
- In consideration of being allowed to participate in "A Very Special Walk 2024", I acknowledge and agree that:
- I am in good physical health and believe that I can complete the event I signed up for.
- I agree that the risk of injury from participating in “A Very Special Walk 2024” exists, including but not limited to the potential for permanent paralysis and death, health risks and the impact of weather.
- I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next-of-kin, hereby release, indemnify and hold harmless the Organiser, its affiliates and representatives involved in this event directly or indirectly, with respect to any and all personal injury, disability, death or loss or damage to person(s) or property associated with my presence or participation in the event, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- I have read this release of liability and assumption of risk agreement, fully understand its terms, fully understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing it and sign it freely and voluntarily without any inducement.
