Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) or ARC(S), was established as a response to the growing concern that the needs of this diverse population go beyond existing provision. ARC(S) aims to help individuals with an autism spectrum disorder maximise their potential in life through advocacy and provision of services in education, employment and empowering of family caregivers / professionals. It also hopes to highlight the needs of these individuals and to increase understanding and awareness of autism in our community.

Pathlight School started by Autism Resource Centre (Singapore), is the first autism-focused school offering Singapore’s mainstream academic curriculum blended with life readiness skills. Invited by the Ministry of Education (MOE), it began operations in January 2004 and is known to be one of the fastest growing and progressive special schools in Singapore. The school caters to students with ASD and related disorders aged between 6 and 18 years of age who are cognitively able to access mainstream academics, but require additional support such as smaller class size, special accommodations and teaching staff trained in autism. The school has grown from 41 students in January 2004 to more than 600 students in 2011.
