I started participating in AVSW in 2021 as a personal initiative to champion for the autistic community, as an extension of championing for my autistic daughter. Since then, I've continued to support AVSW annually as much as I can.
Please donate through my profile to help fund ARC's programmes, empowering adults with autism to lead independent and meaningful lives. Thank you!

Singing Jim Lim's 《代替》
As someone who's experienced loss, the idea of holding a loved one who's passed on in memory is not unfamiliar to me. But I wonder how that works for my autistic daughter… would she be able to find strength and comfort in being able to do so? How will she deal with loss? How can we help/prepare her for some of life's experiences that are deeply emotional?
No answers… but hope that this is something that will develop over time. Though I believe that putting in place a foundation of meaningful living from young would help. ARC(S) has been doing quite a bit of work to help autistic youths and adults experience meaningful living. Hope that the small support we render each year can keep the good work going.
Singing Jeff Chang's《爱你没错》
Can't recall how I encountered this song, but some of the lyrics really reflect future-oriented concerns as a parent of a neurodivergent kid, as well as experiences of journeying with a child who took a longer path in learning how to express herself and open up her world to others. I remember how the doctor who performed the diagnosis shared that my daughter will need to go through longer learning and adjustment phases at every transition of her life - this would be so challenging without the kind of support she has been receiving. Hope that my small contribution to raise funds will be multiplied through the good work that ARC(S) has been doing.
Singing Terry Lin's 《离人》
Felt the whole vibe of the song is relatable to me as a parent of an autistic child in terms of thinking about the what ifs and what wills when I'm gone. This makes me realize the importance of planning now and supporting causes that promote the welfare and well-being of the autistic community.
